How to get Light Clay in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Better farm for Nuggets!

The Held Item, Light Clay, is a very valuable item for competitive play, Tera Raids, and just getting through the story of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Like many Held Items in the game, it must be bought from a Delibird Presents store location. It is only available from the Cascarrafa location and is used to increase the duration of screens. Using the item for Tera Raids is very important because of how turns operate online as well. This is where you can locate Light Clay in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet and how to use it.

The Light Clay can be found at the Delibird Presents store in Cascarrafa. It costs 20,000 Pokédollars or League Points and can be purchased without any Gym Badges. Many Held Items require Gym Badges in order to appear in the shop, so checking back every so often can mean finding better options. Light Clay is used in many competitive builds as well as supportive Tera Raid builds like Gardevoir.

What does the Light Clay do in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Light Clay can be given to a Pokémon to increase the number of turns that Reflect, Light Screen, and Aurora Veil last by three turns. As a Held Item, players don't have to do anything special to increase these effects. It is a passive effect that any Pokémon holding the Light Clay will have to increase these effect's durations for a maximum of eight turns. The move Brick Break will destroy any screen effects regardless of Light Clay, however, and is important to keep in mind when spending turns setting them up.
