How to preorder Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Can you preorder these games?

Pokémon have announced Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were announced. They are the next entries into the Pokémon franchise, following the massive success of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Where to preorder Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Preorders for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are not available on the Nintendo eShop, so if you want a digital version, that is the first place to go!

Currently, preorders for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are available at Walmart ($59.88) and Amazon ($59.99), with more retailers sure to follow suit.

Only single versions of the game are available for preorder, and no dual-packs (containing both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet) have been put up. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet do not have preorder bonuses at the time of writing, but that is likely to change before the game's full release. Pokémon games are no stranger to preorder bonuses.

Bonuses and exclusives

There is precedent for this, with Pokémon Legends: Arceus having a preorder bonus at GameStop and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl having one at Target. GameStop offered a free card art set as a preorder bonus for Pokémon Legends: Arceus and Target gave away free Pokémon-themed journals for Pokémon BDSP preorders. We could see something along these lines for Scarlet and Violet.
