Is there a new Eeveelution added in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The latest installment in the Pokémon franchise, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, has a ton of new features to explore and Pokémon to catch. One of the many staples of the series is all of Eevee's evolutions, more widely known as their Eeveelutions. But, did Scarlet and Violet add a new Eeveelution to their lineup of new Pokémon? Unfortunately, a new one has not been added as of right now, but you never know if one is in the works currently for the new generation.

How many different Eeveelutions are there?

Currently, there are eight different evolutions for Eevee to evolve into. These are all of the existing Eeveelutions currently available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Vaporeon
    • Eevee's water-type evolution when exposed to a Water Stone.
  • Jolteon
    • Eevee's electric-type evolution when exposed to a Thunder Stone.
  • Flareon
    • Eevee's fire-type evolution when exposed to a Fire Stone.
  • Umbreon
    • Eevee's dark-type evolution when leveled with a friendship of 220 or higher during the night.
  • Leafeon
    • Eevee's grass-type evolution when exposed to a Leaf Stone.
  • Sylveon
    • Eevee's fairy-type evolution when leveled up while knowing a fairy-type move as well as having either two levels of affection in Pokémon-Amie (when playing either Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire), Pokémon Refresh (when playing Pokémon Sun, Pokémon Moon, Pokémon Ultra Sun, and Pokémon Ultra Moon), or happiness of 160.
  • Glaceon
    • Eevee's ice-type evolution when exposed to an Ice Stone.
  • Espeon
    • Eevee's psychic-type evolution when leveled with a friendship of 220 or higher during the day.
