How can you counter these Pokémon?

There are several different typings in the Pokémon franchise. With so many variations, it can be difficult to remember the strengths and weaknesses of each one. This can make battling difficult at times, due to the vital importance that type strengths play when fighting another trainer. Bug-type Pokémon have always been decent in battle, and that is likely to stay true in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Bug-type Attacking Chart

Grass, Dark, and Psychic-type Pokémon are extremely vulnerable to Bug-type attacks. It is a good idea to pull out a Bug-type attacker when up against these Pokémon. This is extremely helpful as some of these typings are difficult to counter.

Bug-type Pokémon can defend great against powerful Fighting and Dark-type moves, making them great to take into battle.

Moves that are super-effective against Bug-type PokémonFlying, Fire, and Rock-type move
Moves that are weak against Bug-type PokémonFighting, Grass, and Dark-type moves

If players are wanting to take on Bug-type Pokémon, their best bet is to bring along a Fire, Flying, or Rock-type attacker. This will give them the biggest edge against their opponent.
