Now that Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have been out for a few days, players have already conquered the Sinnoh Region and beaten the Elite Four. This also means that players have had plenty of time to look for glitches in the game, and it seems a big one has been found.
What is the Duplication Glitch?
This glitch was discovered by a French player known as Kevinfor5 and allows you to duplicate any Pokémon you have, as well as any items that Pokémon is holding. All this glitch involves is the daycare lady, two pc boxes, and the battle box. Unfortunately, this glitch does require you to sacrifice a Pokémon in order to duplicate another. So make sure you have a trash Pokémon handy.
How to Duplicate Pokemon
To set up this glitch, all you need to do is place a Pokémon in Box One Slot One, and another in Box Two Slot One. It does not matter which Pokémon you place in these spots, as they do not get affected by the glitch. Just make sure they are not the Pokémon you are trying to duplicate or the one you are sacrificing. Then, add the Pokémon from Box One Slot One to your Battle Team.
Next, head to the Pokémon Day Care in Solaceon Town. Speak to the Day Care Lady and when she wants to know which Pokémon you want to drop off, select the Pokémon from Box Two Slot One. We are not done yet, once you have that Pokémon selected, go down to the bottom of the page and select the Box List button as shown below.
Now all you have to do is swap Box One with Box Two. Once you do that, you should see a yellow checkmark next to the Pokémon you added to your Battle Team. This will essentially give the pokemon in your Battle Team to the Day Care Lady, creating a Missingno in your Battle Team.

Now for the final step, you just have to go back into your Boxes and open your Battle Team tab. You will see the Missingno at the bottom of your Battle Team. This is how you know the glitch has worked.
NOTE: Do not select the Missingno or even hover over it, as it will cause your game to crash.
Now all you have to do is add the Pokémon you wish to sacrifice into your Battle Team Slot One. Then add the Pokémon you wish to Duplicate in your Battle Team Slot Two.
At this point, you should see the Pokémon in Slot One has changed to be the same as the Pokémon in Slot Two. To complete the glitch, check the summary of the Pokémon in Slot One. Once you back out of the Summary, you will see your sacrifice Pokémon has been replaced with the duplicated Pokémon, and should now have two of the same Pokémon in your Box.
There you have it, that is how you do the duplication glitch in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This glitch will work with any Pokémon you own including Legendaries. Just remember that Nintendo will be quick about getting this glitch patched out, so if you are choosing to try it, do it while you can!
