Mountains of Power Event Features

Here is the full list of what we can expect when the Mountains of Power event starts on Jan. 7.

Bonuses

  • 1/2 Walking Distance: As of now, the only bonus feature during this event is that walking distance requirements will be halved. You'll only need to walk 1km to earn a heart with your buddy instead of two (depending on your buddy's friendship level)!

Research

  • Timed Research: A continuation of the timed research in the Season of Heritage so far will focus on getting players to catch Pokémon, hatch eggs, and earn Buddy candy. Completing tasks in the Timed Research will reward players with Mawile and Beldum encounters.
  • Field Research: Completing Field Research during the event will reward players with encounters with Mawile, Alolan Geodude, and Slugma.
