What to do with Digletts in the Grand Underground in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl offer many features that expand upon the 2006 release's original content, including the Grand Underground. In the Grand Underground, collecting Digletts offers players a benefit, but what do users get for stockpiling this burrowing Pokémon.

While the visible Digletts in the grand underground aren't up for capture, they do have an alternative purpose. Collecting Digletts in the Grand Underground fills the gauge at the top left corner of the players' screen. Once this bar is filled completely, users will have a higher chance to encounter shiny Pokémon in the Grand Underground.

Digletts wander around the tunnels of the Grand Underground and are easy to amass. Make sure to walk over each Diglett or Dugtrio until pink sparkles appear and the Pokémon burrow back into the ground.

With so many types of Pokémon to find in the Grand Underground, hunting shinies with an improved discovery rate is an excellent method to track down some of your favorite Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
