Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are filled with rare and hard-to-find Pokémon. One of these is the bug and fighting-type Pokémon, Heracross. Those looking to complete their Pokédex or who simply want to add this Pokémon to their team will need to visit honey trees to catch Heracross.
Heracross is encountered at honey trees in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Heracross' encounter rate changes depending on if Munchlax can be encountered. Its official encounter rate is 1.5 percent per tree, which means you will likely be slathering a lot of honey.

There are 21 honey trees in total in Sinnoh and we recommend using all of them to find Heracross. If you visit all 21 in a row, your chances of seeing Heracross on at least one tree is at around 26 percent. Keep in mind, however, that you will have to wait at least six hours after slathering a honey tree before a Pokémon appears.
By the way, it doesn't matter if you save and restart your game, the Pokémon that appears on Honey Trees are pre-determined. This is why it's also recommend that you already have Fly before you attempt to look for Heracross actively.
Heracross is a solid Pokémon that would be a strong addition to any team. Its bug and fighting-typing make it a unique Pokémon and it has a solid attack score to back that up. Plus, bug Pokémon are awesome and deserve to be appreciated, so get out there and catch yourself a Heracross!
