How to get and use Seaweed in Raft

Gather some Seaweed!

If you want to get Seaweed in Raft, you must search the water around various Islands. Seaweed has a chance to spawn randomly in the water, so you may need to search awhile before you find some Seaweed. Another source of Seaweed is various loot boxes that can appear on both abandoned rafts and huts in Raft

However, you won't get a lot from loot boxes, so your best bet to get Seaweed is to farm it from the water near Islands. Once you get Seaweed, you can melt it into a unique resource called Vine Goo. To melt Seaweed down into Vine Goo, you must have a Smelter, so here's how to make a Smelter in Raft:

How to make a Smelter to smelt Seaweed in Raft

Players can make a Smelter by gathering the following materials in Raft:

  • Four Planks
  • Six Dry Brick
  • Four Scrap
  • Six Nails

Once you make a Smelter, place it and put whatever Seaweed you gathered inside it. After a few seconds, the Smelter will melt the Seaweed down into Vine Goo. You can then use the Vine Goo to make the recipes in Raft.
