It can truly be intimidating loading up Roblox and scrolling through the hundreds of hundreds of games they have in their catalog—and 2023 just happened to have a pretty large selection of here. Below are our top picks for the best Roblox games of the year.
Which are the best Roblox games in 2023?
If you hop on Roblox and have a hard time figuring out what to click on, you might want to search for some of these games. They all have very large player bases!
25. Type: Soul
Get ready to see a lot of entries on this list based on anime. Type: Soul is specifically inspired by Bleach, and it allows players to level up just like a character in the show. The one issue with this game is that the main hub is a little small comparatively.
24. Skibi Toilet Tower Defense
The Tower Defense gameplay gets translated into Roblox for a lot of reasons. That being said, it is much funnier defending against a horde of toilets. Skibi Toilet Tower Defense is relatively new, so the graphics look pretty on point.
23. Fire Force Online
This game is based on the Fire Force anime. Fire Force Online has more of an open-world RPG feel, but the big reason to play this game is the loads of different abilities that you can earn.
22. Shattered Psycho Online
Another anime game, this one draws inspiration from Mob Psycho 100. There are only about six classes you can slot into in this game, but each of them has a wide variety of attacks. This is definitely a game for people who like PvP in Roblox.
21. Your Bizzare Adventure
It would be next to impossible to have all these anime Roblox games and not have at least one based on Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. The reality is there are plenty of them, but none of the Jojo's games are as popular as Your Bizzare Adventure.
20. One Punch Game
This game is the best One Punch Man-inspired game in terms of bringing the anime to life. You can choose from several classes from the anime, like the cyborg inspired by Genus.
19. Toilet Tower Defense
While Skibi Toilet Tower Defense has a nicer graphic polish, Toilet Tower Defense was the first to combine the Tower Defense gameplay loop with toilets. This game is certainly one of the most popular, boasting a huge player base.
18. Break In 2
Mystery is often an underrated genre in Roblox. Break In 2 offers lots of tough challenges that you can rack your head over. It's also one of the more cinematic games, with a fairly well-written story behind it.

17. Project Polaro
Believe it or not, there are a couple of decent Pokémon games on Roblox. None are as complete as Project Polaro, though, who has a total of 11 gyms you can challenge.
16. Boku No Roblox
It's rather nice how well the lore of My Hero Acadamia translates into Roblox. In Boku No Roblox, you can roll for different quirks, each of which has a decent list of abilities to choose from. This makes Boku No Roblox one of the more creative games, seeing how many wild abilities you can gather.
15. Jujutsu Chronicles
It's really nice to see Jujutsu Kaisen get a shoutout through Roblox. The anime is growing in popularity, and it's easy to see why with how fun it is to pick between clans and curse each other in Jujutsu Chronicles.
14. Death Ball
At its core, Death Ball is a spin-off of the Blade Ball idea. There are differences, though, mainly the usage of more anime-looking characters. It's easy to see why some prefer this over regular Blade Ball.
13. Project Slayers
This is the game you want to play if you're a fan of the Demon Slayer anime. Project Slayers allows you to use most of the swords seen in the show, which can create some very heated PvP fights in the game.
12. Sonic Speed Simulator
This game simply offers tons of modes for Sonic fans to try out. Some more competitive fans will try to outrace each other, while others prefer more of the PvE tracks. Every area in Sonic Speed Simulator is based on the Sonic series, though, including the Green Hill Zone, where you start out in.
11. Royal High
Right now, Royale High is dominating the life simulator corner of Roblox. There are many reasons for this, but the big one is the large amount of customization for the player. You can even go on a virtual date in this game!
10. Haze Piece
One of many One Piece-inspired games, Haze Piece manages to create a very nice gameplay loop. Its basic gameplay is very similar to other One Piece games, but the map in Haze Piece is much larger.
9. Anime Fighters
This game lets you pit any anime fight you've ever wanted. Want to see Goku take on Luffy? Naruto versus Ichigo? It's all possible in Anime Fighters.
8. Adopt Me
Many Roblox games fall under the "trade cute pets" category. The best way to get into this genre, though, is through Adopt Me, which is the most popular pet simulator on Roblox. You can collect everything from dogs to cats to dragons.
7. Apeirophobia
Roblox doesn't always dip into the horror genre, but Apeirophobia proves that Roblox horror can still be terrifying. The setting of this game is a bunch of dimly lit corridors, so don't play this game unless you're ready for lots of jumpscares.

6. A One Piece Game
This game separates itself from other One Piece games by having a bigger focus on RPG elements and less on action. That being said, there are still some crazy fruits you can pick up here in A One Piece Game. The world is also very well designed, with the islands being much bigger than you might find in other similar titles.
5. Blade Ball
Sometimes, simplicity is the key to making a great game. The concept behind Blade Ball is simply " see ball; hit ball," and yet it has many players on the server nightly. Each arena is run in a battle royal format, so many players get excited at the chance of being the last one alive.
4. All Star Tower Defense
Take the tower defense concept, fill it with anime characters, and you have the unbeaten formula for All Star Tower Defense. That's what makes the game so great, though; the anime characters give players a lot more abilities to defend with than the ordinary Tower Defense simulator.
3. Peroxide
Peroxide is definitely the premier Bleach experience on Roblox. The world is large and expansive, and you can pick from several classes, each with powerful upgrades. Top marks to anyone who can level up to Voltstanding in that game.
2. Anime Adventures
Some of the games on Roblox will be comprehensive across different anime, but none of them have as large a cast of characters as Anime Adventures. This game updates regularly, so you can use characters from Fate and My Hero Acadamia as well as older anime like Dragonball Z.
1. Blox Fruits
It's a legend for a reason. Blox Fruits is the quintessential One Piece game on Roblox. Other games might have prettier graphics, but Blox Fruits established the gameplay loop that makes these games so popular. It also updates regularly, so it's loads of fun to advance and watch as the islands get bigger and the bandits get tougher.
