Clover RPG Magic Tier List – Best Grimoire & Spells

Your grimoire chose you, but thankfully, Clover RPG lets you appeal the decision. Check out our Clover RPG Magic Tier List.

Rolling Time is lucky. Knowing what to do with it is another matter. Clover RPG’s best magic depends on more than your roll chance, especially once passives start changing how spells work. Extra projectiles, cheaper airborne casts, healing fields, and burn-powered M1s all deserve a seat at the table. This Clover RPG Magic tier list ranks all seven magics across PvE and PvP, considering their abilities, known passives, mobility, control, sustain, and practical build potential.

Light and Wind are my strongest overall picks right now. Light brings a promising mix of offense, disruption, and support, while Wind has a clear connection between its aerial kit and cheaper spellcasting. Time, Beast, and Lightning sit in A tier for different reasons, with more uncertainty around their complete packages.

Flame and Shadow land in B tier. Both have useful tools, but their strongest interactions come with conditions we still need to pin down. Nothing belongs in C tier yet. There is not enough evidence to call any of these kits a bad roll. With all that said, here's my release meta Clover RPG Magic Tier List.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Keep in mind that this is an early launch Clover RPG Magic tier list, based on my initial hands-on experience, community feedback, and educated guesses from various showcases of each Magic's abilities and passives. There's still plenty of testing to be done, so expect the rankings to change as I spend more time with each Magic and get a better understanding of how they actually perform in-game.

Tier Magic and Ranking Explanation
S
Light Versatile offense and team support

Combines rushing and aerial attacks with Blindstrike's blind application and Divine Field's ally healing. Its broad toolkit earns the top placement, although healing strength and blind effectiveness still need testing.

Wind Aerial control and Mana efficiency

Launches, displacement, and aerial movement give Wind a distinct playstyle. Aerial Efficiency cuts Wind spell Mana costs by 30% while airborne, while Blade Storm adds two blades to the alternate Tempest Blade cast. Getting consistent value depends on positioning and timing.

A
Time Control and recovery potential

Slow Zone, Chronostasis, and Time Stop give Time a promising control toolkit, with Rewind adding a possible recovery option. This is the least certain placement: actual restraint, recovery values, and boss interactions could change its ranking considerably.

Beast Close-range aggression

Holy Hunting and Feral Impact offer approach tools, while Apex Claw and Vicious Assault keep the action close. A strong candidate for aggressive melee play, but its clips do not establish guaranteed combos, armor, or reliable answers to ranged pressure.

Lightning Varied attacks and knockdown pressure

Mixes a straight beam, close-range barrage, and explosive strikes that knock targets down. It has promising tools across engagement distances, but Lightning Shroud's actual bonuses remain unverified and do not contribute assumed damage or defensive buffs to this ranking.

B
Flame Burn-assisted M1 pressure

Amplified Wrath rewards basic attacks against burning targets, supported by ranged attacks and close-range engagement tools. Blazing Meteor adds an alternate Scorching Barrage cast, and Infernal Defiance interrupts execution attempts. Its strongest offensive synergy still needs reliable burn application and follow-up access.

Shadow Conditional damage and setup potential

Gains extra ability damage at night and a focused alternate Void Beam shot. Shadow Tendril offers an interesting setup opportunity, but its actual restraint and follow-up freedom remain unclear. Those interactions need to work reliably before Shadow moves higher.

How to Reroll Magic in Clover RPG

To change your magic in Clover RPG, you need a Clover RPG Magic Reroll. Use it to roll for another magic, but remember that you are taking another chance, not choosing a specific replacement. Think twice before giving up a kit you enjoy just to chase Time’s 1% drop rate.

Bael and Gladiator have been reported to drop Magic Rerolls, although their exact drop rates remain unconfirmed. Our earlier shop information showed a 650 Essence price, while other information mentions Robux, so check the cost in your current build before spending.

Wiping your character slot is another route, but it resets your progress. You will need to reach Level 10 and obtain magic again through the Announcer. Unless you already want a fresh start, a Magic Reroll is the better option for keeping your character’s progress.

Clover RPG Magic Tier List FAQ

What is the best magic in Clover RPG?

Light and Wind are my current overall recommendations. Light offers a broader mix of offense and support, while Wind combines aerial control with 30% cheaper airborne spellcasting.

Is Time the best magic because it is the rarest?

No. Time’s 1% roll chance measures rarity, not combat strength. Its ranking depends on how its control and recovery actually work, particularly against moving players and bosses.

What is the best magic for PvP?

Light, Wind, and Beast are promising picks for different approaches: disruption and versatility, aerial control, and close-range aggression. There is not enough matchup evidence yet to name a definitive PvP winner. Time could also become a major contender if its control effects are reliable.

What is the best magic for PvE?

Light is a promising group-content choice because Divine Field heals allies, while Wind offers potential efficiency through reduced airborne Mana costs. A definitive bossing or farming winner still needs damage, cooldown, enemy-resistance, and clear-speed comparisons.

Are Flame and Shadow worth keeping?

Yes. B tier here means conditional or less-established value, not a dead roll. Flame has a useful burn-to-M1 interaction, while Shadow could gain considerably from reliable Tendril setups. Both also have abilities we still need to examine.
