Soul Reaper Progression Guide - Type Soul

The first step in becoming a Soul Reaper in Type Soul is to die. After spawning into the game as a human, get killed by any NPC character or player on the server. Doing this allows you to change your avatar into a lost soul. Now, speak with the Kisuke NPC in Katakura Town to gain membership in the Soul Society. He should be standing near the town's edge of a small plateau-like terrain. Use the below image for a pictorial reference of the area. That's it! You have become a Soul Reaper in Type Soul. 

Gaining Experience points and improving your rank in Type Soul

After becoming a Soul Reaper, you will immediately return to Rukongai as a trainee. The remaining task is gaining experience points by completing missions and leveling your grade. Firstly, before doing anything, I suggest you learn the Flash Step, which does not require any skill points and will help you tremendously in the initial stage.

Now, create a party and participate in missions from the mission boards. You can find them throughout the map and use the above image as a reference. Soon, you will earn XP points as you complete missions and change from a Trainee to a Grade 5.

Becoming a Grade 5 is pivotal as you will gain access to the Senkaimon tool, which allows you to travel to the Soul Society. You can access Division Duty missions there, providing even more experience points. Join Division Duties and finish missions associated with each division.

Getting Shikai in Type Soul

You are eligible to get Shikai in Type Soul by the time you reach Grade 2. Meditate three times, with each session lasting around 20 minutes. So, in total, you must nearly meditate for nearly an hour. When you sit to meditate for the fourth time, you will immediately get the Shikai mission.

The mission revolves around defeating your re-election. Basically, you have to defeat an NPC character with the same abilities as your current build. Since it is a replica of your build, you should understand its weakness. For example, if your build has a lot of Kendo Skill points, all the attacks would deal a lot of damage in close range but won't have long range. So, staying away and attacking will be helpful. Determine what works given your build and use it to your advantage in the fight. Once you do that, you will get Shikai in Type Soul.

How to get Bankai in Type Soul

The ultimate goal of a Soul Reaper is to obtain the Bankai. To do this, you must complete three sets of objectives.

Objective 1: You can fulfill any one of the following tasks to finish the first objective.

• Win 13 Faction Raids
• Win 7 Clan Wars 
• Win 25 Ranked 1v1 Matches

Once you have completed the above tasks, visit Katakura Town and speak with the V-Unequaled NPC near the two big warehouses. He will give three further objectives to complete.

Objective 2: You must finish all the following objectives to proceed further to get Bankai.

• Get 15 Elite Grips
• Kill Bawabawa or Jindabo Bosses
• Kill 80 Hollows

After finishing all the quests, speak to the Urahara NPC in Katakura Town. 

Objective 3: Urahara will ask you to complete a small mini-game involving collecting swords within a set time. Use your abilities to collect everything and finish the challenge.

Once you do that, mediate to get the quest to obtain Bankai. Defeat the Bankai boss to obtain the Bankai in Type Soul.
