How to Start the Crystal Defense Game Mode in Sailor Piece

As previously mentioned, the Crystal Defense game mode in Sailor Piece is both super rewarding and fun to complete. As the name suggests, the main focus of this mode is to defend the crystal from upcoming waves, so make sure you have your best damage build equipped before you start. My suggestion is to use either the Dragon Goddess or Ice Queen because they're the best in the game at the moment. However, if you don't own either, you can check out our Sailor Piece Weapon Tier List and figure out what suits your gameplay best.

If you're wondering why the Crystal Defense game mode is important, it's because it's key to getting the Anti Magic Sword in the game. Before we dive deeper into how to do that, here is how you start it:

  • Make sure that you have Sea Two unlocked.
  • Farm NPCs on any island in Sea Two to collect Crystal Keys, because you need them if you want to start the Crystal Defense mode.
  • Go to Punch Island and talk to the Crystal Defense NPC, then click on the Spawn Button. Keep in mind that, although you need 1 key per attempt, you'll have to farm a lot if you want to get Asta's Sword.
  • The last bit of advice we can offer is to play in a group to make it easier on yourself. You can play in a party with up to 4 players. In case you're struggling to form a group, you can always go to the Official Discord Server and ask if someone wants to join.

How to Get Asta's Sword in Sailor Piece

I have good and bad news when it comes to obtaining the Anti Magic Sword. The upside is that there are 3 ways to get it. However, in usual Sailor Piece style, you'll have to either grind a lot or use Robux to become its owner. So it's not impossible, but you still need a mix of skill and luck.

Crystal Defense Crystal Coins

The first way to obtain the Anti Magic Sword is by collecting 5000 Crystal Coins, then using them to get the item from the Defense Merchant NPC. The only way to get them is by clearing levels in the Crystal Defense mode. For each completed floor, you get 1 coin, so it's painfully obvious that you'll be stuck grinding quite a bit. As previously mentioned, as long as you have a solid Damage build, this should be doable if you have the patience.

Crystal Defense Boss Drop

The second way to get the sword is for a Boss to drop it. While it's true that this game mode is mostly about defending the crystal, every 5 levels, a Boss spawns that you have to defeat before proceeding further, and each new level increases the odds of the item appearing. To make sure you utilize this to its full potential, I suggest you prepare with the Best Luck Build to increase your chances of the Anti Magic Sword dropping.

Anti Magic Sword in Shop

If all else fails, there is always the option to purchase the Anti Magic Sword in the Shop. However, this should be your last option if you're really unlucky because it's very expensive, 1499 Robux. While definitely not encouraged, it's always a good last resort if there is no other way for you to obtain it, if you really want to add it to the collection.

How to Farm Crystal Keys in Sailor Piece

While the NPCs are not that strong, it will still take a lot of time for you to farm the Crystal Keys. This is why we suggest you focus on a good Luck Build rather than Damage if you want to speed things up. Here is a neat trick for max effect farming:

  • Go to the Starter Island of Sea Two because you can farm 2 separate NPC groups at the same time
  • Use the quake fruit because of its large area effect, and use the C attack
  • The best way to position yourself is to stand close to the Quest NPC because this way the waves can deal damage to both NPC groups
  • Now you can just auto skill the C attack and leave it to farm
