This year's British Fashion Council (BFC) Fashion Awards has crossed over into the metaverse for the first time and with it has come an exclusive, digital design award, red carpet experience, and free avatar item. Various Roblox creators took to the Fashion Awards stage to show off their competing designs, while regular Robloxians get to dress up, complete quests, and pose the night away. In this quick guide we'll be going over how to complete the Fashion Awards' quests and receive the secret, eye-catching item.
What are the Fashion Awards
The Fashion Awards is an award ceremony that takes place each year and aims to highlight designers around the world who have gone above and beyond in terms of their design feats and breakthroughs. Those recognized and nominated can be both individual designers or entire companies—if you made a massive impact or contribution on/to the fashion industry that year, chances are you'll be nominated. These awards range in titles and qualifications, from Designer of the Year to the Trailblazer Award, each award has its own significance and respect surrounding it.
Completing the Fashion Awards' quests
Upon spawning into the metaverse Fashion Awards, your character will be placed on the runway, waiting to walk out and be photographed. You'll notice a clothing icon on the left of your screen and a list icon on the right. Clicking the clothing icon will open the wardrobe menu, where you can not only change your avatar's clothes, but also experiment with Roblox's new 3D layering feature.
Clicking on the list icon will open up your quest menu—here you can see all five of the quests that you need to complete in order to receive the free avatar item, the BFC Gold Opera Glasses. To get started on these quests, follow the steps outlined below.
Red Carpet Interview
To complete this quest, you'll want to speak to all four of the NPCs standing along the runway—each one will either ask you a handful of questions, or speak to you about the Fashion Awards in general. There's no wrong answer to any of the interview questions, so taking your time and choosing honestly or just clicking random options will give you the same outcome. Once you've spoken to everyone on the red carpet, you will complete this quest.

Visit Nominee Showcase
Now that you've finished the red carpet portion of the evening, make your way inside the Fashion Awards building—the Royal Albert Hall. Once inside, you'll notice a gallery displayed on the right with a sign that says Metaverse Design Nominees—enter this gallery and speak to the woman standing in the middle. After doing so, approach any of the avatar item displays and press E to view them—this will complete the second quest.
Something worth noting as well, each of the displays in the Nominee Showcase were actually created by Roblox users and were hand selected by the British Fashion Council to be nominated for the Fashion Award for Metaverse Design. The winner of this award, cSapphire, was virtually recognized via the GFX video that plays in the experience's main hall. Though only one winner received the award, all of the nominees' work remain displayed in the experience.
Activate Crystal Heart
In order to find the Crystal Heart, you'll first need to complete the Crystal Maze. The Crystal Maze can be found to the left of the main entryway and shouldn't be too difficult to complete.
The best advice that we can give is walk in, turn right at the giant crystal on the floor, and then turn right again to walk through the white pentagon portals. After teleporting through the pentagons, you should be able to turn left and see the large Crystal Heart.
To activate the heart, simply walk up to it and press E. After doing so, the quest will be complete.
Check Out Fashion Items
The fashion items quest is rather easy, but may be difficult to find. To complete this quest, head to the back left corner of the building, just behind the Crystal Maze. Here, you should find the Fashion Awards 2021 Collection, along with various golden themed avatar items.
All you need to do to complete this quest is approach any of the displayed items and press E to view them. Doing so will open the item menu and check off the quest from your list.
Talk to the Stage Manager
The final quest in this experience is to take to the Fashion Awards stage yourself! To do this, turn right from the Fashion Awards 2021 Collection, locate the Stage Manger NPC near the velvet ropes, and speak with him.
After doing so, head backstage into the Green Room—here you can dress up in your favorite outfit, or rock your current clothes, and get ready to hit the runway. Once you're dressed, locate the main stage stairs and walk up them.
On the main stage you'll notice five circles spread across the floor—posing on each of these circles will make them glow. After posing on all five circles, a prompt will appear at the top of your screen that congratulates you on your performance and invites you back to the Green Room.
Entering the Green Room will award you with the British Fashion Awards 2021 badge and the BFC Gold Opera Glasses. It may take a while for these glasses to appear in your avatar inventory, it took ours about an hour to show up, but they will be there eventually.
