If you've been on Twitter anytime during the last week, chances are you've seen the discourse surrounding Pet Simulator X's self-proclaimed "F2P" Titanic Cat that was added during Week 3 of the experience's Summer Event. This pet, despite what the Pet Simulator X Twitter account may have advertised, isn't exactly as free as people have been led to believe, and does require a ton of grinding (and a whole lotta' luck) to get—I know, what a surprise! How to unlock the Titanic Cat in Pet Simulator X
As mentioned above, the Titanic Cat pet was added with Pet Simulator X's July 8, 2023 update, and can technically be obtained for free until July 22, 2023, when it disappears forever. Unlike other Titanic pets that have been added to the experience in the past, players don't have to purchase a real-life plush or toy to get the Titanic Cat—it can instead be hatched from an in-game egg, the Sunny Egg.
This egg cost 75 million Popsicle Coins to open, which isn't a small amount by any means, and the chance of actually hatching a Titanic Egg is unknown, though it's estimated to be less than one percent. At the time of this article's publication, less than 100 Titanic Cats exist.
Where is the Sunny Egg in Pet Simulator X?
The Sunny Egg can be found in the main entrance of Summer World, and is located next to the new areas that were added with the Week 3 update. This egg resembles a sun and has a pair of orange sunglasses sat atop it—how ironic.
How to get Popsicle Coins in Pet Simulator X
Popsicle Coins are collected the same way any other form of coins and diamonds are—by breaking piles, gifts, crates, safes, vaults, and chests. For each bundle your pets open during the Summer Event, you'll receive Popsicle Coins along with the pre-existing coin and diamond rewards!
To collect Popsicle Coins as fast as possible, I'd recommend grinding the breakables that spawn inside of Summer World itself, as they'll likely award you more coins than normal breakables would, and contributing to the large Summer World chests as often as you can. Keep in mind, though, that these chests have quite a bit of health, so you may want to gather some friends if your pets aren't highly leveled!
