What is Bread in Rune Factory 5

A strangely named recipe.

Rune Factory 5 is a pretty unique RPG, and to master it, you will need to familiarize yourself with its systems. The Bread system from Rune Factory 4 returns, but it can be pretty confusing for newcomers. Bread is a simple item that carries a big impact on your gameplay.

When Bread is used, you will learn a recipe pertaining to the type of Bread you ate. If you eat Weapon Bread, then you will learn one to four new recipes for making weapons. If you use Cooking Bread, you will learn about new dishes you can make.

Here are all the Bread types in the game:

  • Farming Bread
  • Crafting Bread
  • Weapon Bread
  • Chemistry Bread
  • Cooking Bread

Bread can be obtained easiest by going to Sweat Hearth and purchasing it from Yuki. She will tell you how much Bread she has left for you to buy each day. Keep in mind that if the skill you are trying to learn recipes for isn't leveled up, the game won't let you use the Bread.
