Where to find Big Muck in Rune Factory 5 – Wanted Monster Guide

A cute a lethal mushroom...thing.

The Wanted Monster side quest is first introduced to you by Livia early in the game, along with the ability to capture monsters. In order to complete a Wanted Monster quest, you first need to reduce your target’s HP then capture them with ZL.

However, each Wanted Monster is unique and located in a specific area. Here’s where to find the Big Muck.

Big Muck location

The poster may say northwest, but Big Muck is closer to the very north side of Phoros Woodlands. You’ll find it next to the river that flows though the area, just beside a bridge.

Given that it’s a two-star quest, do not attempt it until you’re in your level 20s, else your weapon will do no damage, and Big Muck will defeat you in one hit.

If you can’t find it, make sure that you’ve talked to Livia and have chosen the Big Muck to subjugate. If another Wanted Monster is selected as your target, the Big Muck will not appear.

Adding a Big Muck to your farm

Big Muck is a production monster that gives you Spores. To tame him, go to the same location as shown above. Big Muck spawns in both the Phoros Woodlands and Forest of No Return. To tame one, use the brush and try feeding it Fodder and cooked dishes until the taming hearts pop up over its head.
