Where to find Black Feathers in Rune Factory 5

For those neat swords.

Nearly everything in Rune Factory 5 is either too expensive or not available without an expansion from Studio Palmer. This is why it helps to craft your own weapons, tools, armors, accessories, and more. However, each item needs specific materials to be made. One of the later game weapons need a material called a Black Feather. Here’s where to find some.

How to get Black Feathers

Black Feathers are dropped by Chuckadoodles in the Kelve Lava Caves: Depths, which is a deeper area of the Kelve Lava Caves. You get access to this location after you rejoin SEED and clear Meline Crystal Caverns: Depths. Chuckadoodles will usually drop normal feathers and medium-sized Eggs, but you’ll get a Black Feather or three, if you’re lucky.

When used as an upgrade item, Black Feathers can add points to your Intelligence stat, which affects the strength of your Magic Attacks.

Chuckadoodles can be tamed—just make sure you have space in your barn. Once tamed, they will produce one Black Feather for you every morning. The higher its friendship level, the better the Black Feather’s quality will be.
