the Ice Griffin is one of the three most powerful monsters in Rune Factory 5. You won't be able to challenge the Ice Griffin early on in the game. Instead, you will have to first find and capture all the other wanted monsters. Only then will you be allowed to challenge and capture the Ice Griffin, Little Dragon, and Mermaid.
Rune Factory 5 Ice Griffin Location
Although the Ice Griffin does not spawn at a fixed location in Rune Factory 5, many players have reported that they've come across this monster at Lake Yumina. So, you could start your search here. Alternatively, you could also check the quest from the Task Board. That should tell you the last known location of the Ice Griffin.
Finding the Ice Griffin is one thing, but challenging and capturing it is another thing altogether. Keep in mind that the Ice Griffin is susceptible to fire. So any weapon that dishes out fire damage could be helpful in fighting this feisty little monster. With some skill and a little bit of luck, you should be able to capture this monster in a few tries.
