All Sunken Docarri Ruins Puzzle Solutions & Locations in Sea of Stars

I never want to do them again.

The Docarri Ruins are places you can visit once you’ve gotten access to flight. The appearance is triggered by a switch on a floating island in our Home World. You can first learn about it in Camp from the Resh'an puppet after defeating the Dweller of Dread, but you're free to explore it even without triggering the hint dialogue.

Depending on which Solstice tower you manipulate, you might find yourself in the Sealed Docarri Ruin (where the treasure is) or one of the Sunken Docarri Ruins, where the keys to the former are located. Consider this your ultimate Docarri Ruins guide for Sea of Stars.

How to open Sealed Docarri Ruin in Sea of Stars – All Sunken Docarri Ruins locations

There are three Sunken Docarri Ruins in Sea of Stars. Here’s a quick map of all their locations (I've marked the location of the whirlpool you can use to dive into them). The treasure box icon on the upper right corner is the Sealed Docarri Ruin.

To open the whirlpool, just follow the dotted trails. They will eventually lead you to the Solstice light tower that can make them appear. Shine the light on the nearest diamond like you always do.

All three Sunken Docarri Ruins have puzzles you must solve to get their respective keys. Below are the solutions for all of them. I've marked the locations as A, B, and C, which happens to be the letters the keys are assigned to.

Sunken Docarri Ruin A puzzle solution

Ruin A is a puzzle room with three components: a wooden block, a stone block, and a valve. Don't overthink it, and just consider the physics of things: the wood block will float when the water is up and the stone block will not. As such, the key to completing this puzzle is to make sure the wooden block is right in front of the Sealed Fragment platform at the very back of the room when the water is up.

The first step is to bring the stone block to the ground. Do this by pushing the wooden block to the very left and turning on the value. This will let you climb up to the platform the stone block is on.

Once the stone block is down, turn off the valve again. This time, you want the wooden block on the center switch. This will lower the water wall surrounding the middle platform.

Then, put the stone block on the middle switch. This will lower the water wall permanently, allowing you to move the wooden block around wherever you want to. You can push it to the right and float to grab that chest, for example. But ultimately, you want it at the very back like this so you can take the first Docarri Fragment.

Congrats; you're done here! It's time to move on to the next fragment.

Sunken Docarri Ruin B puzzle solution

Ruin B is probably the most straightforward and easiest room to clear. You start at the bottom and make your way to the top by ensuring all the lasers hit their mark. The only trouble I see some people would have is with the last two floors.

When you're on this floor:

  1. Turn the mirror northwest so it summons the pole you can use your Graplou on.
  2. Turn the mirror away from the light before you use your Graplou.
  3. Turn this other mirror southeast to summon the other tower.
  4. Turn the mirror northwest to move on.

And as for the final floor, the solution's super easy!

Stomp on the button on the next floor to summon the platform the Docarri Sealed Fragment is on. Take it.

Sunken Docarri Ruin C puzzle solution

Ruin C is probably the puzzle I spent the most time on, and not because it's particularly tricky. The answer's literally in your face, but blowing those blocks into the proper positions was a lot of trial and error on my end.

But never mind that, let's discuss the solution!

The solutions for Ruin C can be found as murals on the far back wall. You need to arrange all the blocks in the room so that the lasers form all three patterns when you stomp on the switch. Below are images of how you want the blocks to be positioned.

Once you've gotten the last piece, take it and never look back. Rather, sail to the Sealed Docarri Ruins and open the door. Be extra sure you're equipped for battle since you'll be meeting a more challenging version of the game's first boss.
