How to solve the Pillar of Knives Case in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One

Cold-blooded revenge.

Between your cases in Sherlock Holmes Chapter One, you will find dozens of delightful side-cases to keep you sharp and help you earn a couple of bucks on the side, too. You can find the Pillar of Knives case by happening upon the titular Pillar on the western side of the Old City Bridge, just inside an archway to the side.

Pin the Pillar of Knives clue and head directly across the street to the Old City Barracks. Follow the path down and you'll find two sailors that you can eavesdrop on.

Interact with the ear icon and choose to keep the following phrases:

  • Just give the order.
  • Near the barracks.
  • Ottomans taunt us.

After you've gathered your clue, head to the Old City Market in western Old City.

Inside the market, you'll find a small group of Ottomans speaking about the pillar—eavesdrop on them and choose to keep the following phrases:

  • Blood vengeance.
  • Old custom.
  • Family honour.

After you successfully eavesdrop on the group of Ottomans, you will have a better grasp on the tension between the Sailors and Ottomans, and the case will be completed.
