Shin Megami Tensei V has just been announced to be releasing this upcoming November 11th. The game will also feature many features, including demon fusing and an encounter system similar to most JRPGs.
But exactly how long the game will take to beat is still unknown, as the developers have yet to release both a confirmation or information in regards to total playtime.
However, based on the previous title, Shin Megami Tensei IV, we can speculate that the total time to beat would be around 50 to 60 hours. Of course, this could be further increased to something like 200 hours, depending on the amount of content, skill, and time spent playing.

That being said, we strongly feel that the playtime and time to beat will be roughly more or around the same amount, as the game seems to feature a lot of the same elements that made the fourth game in the series great.
There's also the fact that this fifth game in the series will feature well over 200 demons from previous games and some new ones. Shin Megami Tensei V will as well feature turn-based combat and numerous quests across a lengthy storyline involving a high school student becoming a forbidden being.
