How to unlock the shortcut in The Sanctuary in Sifu?

Right through the front door.

Sifu is certainly one of the more challenging combat experiences you'll have in a game that's not titled Dark Souls, thanks to an interesting death and aging system every time you die. Thankfully (mercifully) Sifu employs level shortcuts that you can unlock after reaching a certain point in each stage.

In the final level, The Sanctuary, you can unlock a great shortcut that takes you straight to the section just before the final boss room. In order to grab the Inner Garden Door Keycard, progress through the entire level until you reach a mini-boss armed with a bo staff (seen below).

This mini-boss doesn't show you anything new—once you defeat him, you'll receive the Inner Garden Door Keycard. Every time you restart the level now, you can access the shortcut by heading straight outside after you exit the lobby at the start of the level.

Hey there! I'm Nick. I've been a gamer since I was a tiny lad sitting about three feet from my SNES playing Mega Man X and Zelda (A Link to the Past). I dip my toes into most genres but always find my way back to open-world RPGs and story-driven single-player titles. I love to write and consider myself lucky to spend my days working on content I truly enjoy.
