Sons of the Forest Inventory Management and Building Guide

Just need sticks for the stick storage to store more sticks.

There is a limited amount of each item that players can carry on them in Sons of the Forest. If they have shelter or a home base setup, then they can start to build structures to hold additional crafting materials. All of this is done through the Guide Book and setting up blueprints, but players should do their best to keep track of where these surpluses are. This is how to craft storage in Sons of the Forest.

Unlike other Survival games, Sons of the Forest will only allow players to store specific items as storage. The blueprints for these can be found in the Guide Book by pressing B; they are Rock Storage, Stick Storage, Log Storage, and Bone Storage. Each of these structures can be placed and then used to store their respective items. When ordering around Kelvin, players can ask for him to fill up some of these storages with their items. This gives him plenty to work with while exploring caves or the rest of the island.

Multiple of the same storage unit can be placed in as many locations as necessary, making it easier to gather materials when setting up crops, drying racks, or just making defensive walls around the area. When playing with friends, this makes it so there is always a pile to use items from and a place to deposit items before heading out. Having multiple storages will also ensure that Kelvin will keep working until everything has been filled, making it easier for players to explore without worrying about resupplying.
