When is the next Splatoon 3 Splatfest - start date and end date?

Nintendo has just announced the date of the next Splatfest event. Ink your way to victory on Friday, August 8, 2023, and ending Sunday, August 11, 2023.

The theme for this Splatfest will be what is most important to you in life. Your team options are Fame, Money, or Love. Which one will you choose? And remember, during a Splatfest, you can earn Super Sea Snails!

What is Splatfest?

A Splatfest event in Splatoon 3 is a limited-time event where players must choose a side to take part in the event. The three teams in Splatoon 3 are Nessie, Aliens, and Bigfoot. You must choose wisely, as you only have one choice. You cannot change the team midway through the Splatfest.

After you have picked your team, you will be fighting for your team to win by playing online matches called Turf War. This new game mode replaces Anarchy Battles; the more you play, the more you win. You will raise higher in your team, and maybe your team will win Splatfest. By participating, you will also earn Super Sea Snails.

Splatfest also introduces a new game mode called Tricolor Turf War, which occurs during the second half of this event. Tricolor Turf War is a 4 vs. 2 vs. 2 match-up. The winning team of Splatfest is placed in the center of the map and flanked by the losing two teams on opposite ends of the field. The two losing teams must cooperate (in theory) to ink more than the four-player team, and the winning team must defend while also trying to get the best percentage of ink on the map.

However, the winning team must also defend the Ultra Signal, as whoever activates this device, the Sprinker of Doom, will appear, spraying large amounts of the team's color around the battlefield. This extra element into the game adds a lot of chaos, and three minutes is a long enough time for it to unravel.

If this new game mode interests you, you can only play it during a Splatfest, as after the event is over. Anarchy Battles will return.
