Starfield does a great job representing the vastness of space, with habitable systems few and far between each other. Locating pockets of civilization can often be difficult as the game doesn't provide information about what systems have settled planets. Tracking down Hopetech in particular can be a challenge, so I took a galactic road trip until I found it. If you're stuck like I was, this guide will point you in the right direction!
Where is the Hopetown located in Starfield?
The Hopetech building is found in—you guessed it—Hopetown. To get there, you must first locate the planet Polvo in the Valo system. To travel to Polvo and visit Hopetown, follow the steps below:
- Locate the Narion system on your Starmap. It is located on the top right of the Alpha Centauri, one of the major systems in the game. If you're in Alpha Centauri, you can travel directly to Valo.
- Once you select the Narion system, toggle down to select and open the Valo system. This is so because Narion and Valo are dual-star systems and are represented as a singular object on your Starmap.
- Once in the Valo system, select the planet Polvo.
- Rotate the planet until you find the Hopetown point of interest.
- Select Hopetown as a landing spot.
- Press the landing button to land your craft there.

Locating the Hopetech building in Hopetown in Starfield
Once you land in Hopetown, locating the Hopetech building is easy. Head right from the spaceport, and you will find the Hopetech building to the left of the Freestar Rangers office, right there in the main courtyard.
