Starfield Beer Run quest walkthrough

Ninety nine bottles of beer on the wall. Ninety nine bottles of beer...

Exploring the vast expanse in Starfield can tire a person out quickly, and nothing beats quenching your thirst like having a sip of quality space ale. I was skulking around Aquila City when I encountered a damsel in distress. Sarah Filburn gave me a task that shocked me—sabotaging her husband's beer production. Being an avid beer enjoyer, I took offense to that notion, but the story is never that simple. This guide will help you make the right choices in the Beer Run quest in Starfield.

To start the Beer Run mission in Starfield, find Sarah Filburn in her house in Aquila City. She informs you a new kind of wheat is developing, which could help feed the whole system. Unfortunately, her husband seems to be too caught up in his pet project, which is beer production. To make matters worse, he is doing fine, with a few patrons buying from him. Sarah seems to see no other choice but to sabotage her husband's beer-brewing project to make him shift his focus to the Inteliwheat.

You must follow the marker outside if you decide to go with Sarah's plan and sabotage Henry's Beer production during the Beer Run quest in Starfield. It will take you to a fenced courtyard. To your left, a fenced area will contain multiple metal cisterns containing the brew. Interact with the computer to achieve the desired effect:

  • Increase temperature by 20 degrees.
  • Increase IBU to 160.

Choosing any of these will result in Henry's Beer batch being ruined. You can return to your ship and find a place to wait 24 hours to continue with the mission. After waiting or sleeping, return to the Stoneroot Inn to see the result of your subterfuge. Depending on what you did to the brew, Kate Foley will either complain the taste is off or the beer will get taken off the menu entirely. Your reward will be 2500 credits for this choice.

What happens if you increase the alcohol content in Henry's Beer production during the Beer Run quest in Starfield?

When interacting with the terminal during the Beer Run quest in Starfield, it's also possible to increase the content of alcohol in the batch. This will have the opposite result of what Sarah wanted, causing the people to buy Henry's Beer in larger quantities. You won't be rewarded any credits if you make this choice, but the monetary rewards are frivolous compared to a moral win in this situation. Besides, there are many better ways of making money in Starfield.

What happens if you let Henry know about the sabotage during the Beer Run quest? (Starfield)

It is also possible to inform Henry about his wife's plans during the Beer Run quest in Starfield. He will reward you with even more money than his wife offered you: 2900 credits. In my opinion, this is a dual win as you kept the beer production on Aquila and earned the biggest sum of money in the mission possible.
