How to use Mystic Powers in Tales of Arise?

Here's how to use Mystic Artes in Tales of Arise.

As you progress in Tales of Arise, you will eventually unlock the ability to use Mystic Artes or Mystic Powers. These are basically powerful ultimate attacks commonly found within JRPGs, and if you want to use Mystic Artes, you will need to get in over-limit mode.

You can get into over-limit mode by performing perfect dodges and by taking damage, take enough damage, and you will eventually start glowing with flames that symbolize over-limit mode.

While in over-limit mode, you will be able to use artes without needed any AG points for a small window of time. As you use artes, this small window will decrease as your over-limit bar goes down.

Because of this, you will want to quickly use your Mystic Artes for a huge and powerful attack to do massive damage towards foes. To use Mystic Artes in Tales of Arise, you will need to press and hold two of your combat keys to activate it, as shown below.

  • Xbox: Y and X or X and A.
  • PlayStation:  Triangle, Square, and X
  •  PC: R, E, and F

Once you activate your Mystic Artes by pressing two of your combat artes buttons, you will perform the Mystic Arte, and after it is done, you will no longer be in over-limit mode. Your companions can also perform Mystic Artes as well if you have their abilities check during combat.
