The Cycle: Frontier's Fortuna III is a hostile alien planet filled with valuable materials. Unfortunately, you will have to face off against other players and the dangerous aliens that call the planet home to get it. Another threat is the environment—particularly storms. If you find yourself caught in one, you may be wondering how long storms last in The Cycle: Frontier.
How long before a storm is over in The Cycle Frontier?
Storms will vary in duration, but on average, you can expect a storm to last five minutes. This time may be longer or shorter, but you will want to find shelter regardless of how long a storm lasts. We recommend finding a building with plenty to loot and only a few entrances and exits in case another player also seeks shelter there.

What do storms do in The Cycle Frontier?
Storms are a major threat in The Cycle: Frontier. When exposed to a storm, you will take damage over time and eventually die. Storms will also leave you unable to call an evac or leave the planet. If you are still on the Station when a storm is happening, you will not be able to drop until it has cleared.
An additional effect of storms is that you can find loot. After a storm, the loot around you will be reset, meaning you can search through your surroundings and get more materials. Certain resources will also spawn directly after a storm, so it is worth sticking around and looting, even if you have already cleared that area out.
