Tiny Tina's Wonderlands brings a few new changes to the Borderlands formula. In this spin-off game, players will play through a Dungeons and Dragons-like quest, with Tiny Tina leading the charge as Dungeon Master. The combat in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands brings some of the most notable changes to the franchise, with melee and magic being added as options. Melee weapons are a unique addition for a franchise that heavily emphasizes gun-play and shooting mechanics.
Weapons have always played a large role in the Borderlands games and, as a result, weapon manufacturers play a large role as well. Melee weapons have four main manufacturers, Valora, Bonk, Swifft, and Kleave. Like the gun manufacturers of previous games, each brings their own specialties to the weapons they craft.
What do the manufacturers make?
Valora
Valora specializes in two-handed weapons. Falchions, Greatswords, and Claymores made by Valora can be found in the game. Claymore and Greatswords will deal high damage with Greatswords being better for Critical Hit damage. Falchions are better than the others at Elemental damage.
Bonk
Bonk has proficiency in blunt and heavy weapons. This manufacturer's Morning Stars, Hammers, and Clubs are available for melee characters in the game. Morning Stars have an increased chance to deal elemental damage. Clubs and Hammers deal high damage, with Hammers being especially good at Critical Hit damage.
Swifft
Swifft makes weapons with bladed edges like Scimitars, Sabres, and Long Swords. Scimitars can attack at incredible speeds. Sabres are the Swifft choice for Critical Hit damage and Long Swords for Elemental damage.
Kleave
Kleave is a fitting name for a manufacturer that makes mostly axe-based weaponry, Hatchets, Great Axes, and Kamas. Hatchets, Kamas, and Great Axes deal increased Critical Hit damage and have high base damage output.
