How to beat Freezicles
Up until this point, there likely hasn't been an encounter that has proven too challenging for Fatemakers, which is what makes this particular fight stand out so much.
Effective Weapon Types
- Corrosive: Freezicles has a yellow bar of health which must be dealt with first. Corrosive will shred through this quickly.
- Leech: Freezicles as an unusually large health pool and potions are at a premium. Leech will help restore missing health.
- Ignite: Despite being a skeleton, Freezicles is largely immune to Frost damage. Ignite, however, works wonders.
Freezicles' Attacks
- Teleport: Not so much an attack as a setup for other attacks. Freezicles will teleport around the arena, so pay attention to the minimap to pinpoint him.
- AoE Stomp: Like a boss in Destiny 2, Freezicles will stomp the ground with an AoE attack if Fatebringers get too close. This will inflict Frost damage.
- Ice Shard: Freezicles will shoot a single ice shard, inflicting Frost damage. This can be dodged if seen early enough.
- Sword Slash: This attack usually comes after a teleport and will deal a tremendous amount of damage.
- Sword Plant: Freezicles will plant his sword in the ground and unleash a telegraphed beam attack. This does a lot of damage, but again, can be dodged if seen early enough.
General Strategies
Freezicles moves quickly around the arena and each of his attacks deals an insane amount of damage in addition to inflicting the Frost status effect. This will slow Fatemakers and open them up to further attacks. So, it is important to keep moving and avoid attacks at all costs.
Early in the fight, Freezicles will summon skeleton minions which should be dealt with quickly. They do not respawn after the initial wave, leaving Fatemakers able to focus on Freezicles.
Keep your distance from Freezicles as he has several melee attacks that will do a lot of damage and also makes it easier to spot his ranged attacks. Most importantly, have patience as this fight will likely take longer than any other up to this point. Take shots as they present themselves, but don't get greedy and don't box yourself in.
