Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will feature crossplay across all platforms, according to Gearbox CEO

Tina Tina's Wonderlands is the latest release from Gearbox Software and 2K Games, and even with the game's launch just a week away, more surprises keep rolling out.

On March 13, 2022, Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford revealed that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands would feature crossplay across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms for the first time in franchise history. Sony, a long-time crossplay holdout, has finally joined other platforms, allowing for the highly-requested feature to roll out.

When one fan asked if crossplay would come to Borderlands 3, Randy Pitchford reached out to explain the situation for Gearbox Software's other popular looter-shooter. While Borderlands 3 has enabled crossplay for some time, the teams from Sony and PlayStation hadn't allowed for their services to connect to Xbox or PC players.

BL3 has supported crossplay for sometime. The future addition of PlayStation to crossplay for BL3 is now what I would consider to be inevitable. More info to come as soon as we have it…

Randy Pitchford went on to hint that full crossplay compatibility seems like a certainty at this point for Borderlands 3 now that Sony has finally agreed to the feature in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.
