Who is Shen-Zoo in Total War: Warhammer 3

Learn more about the Dragon of Light.

Total War: Warhammer 3 introduces a huge number of characters from the world of Warhammer, with some new names and plenty of familiar faces. One of these is Shen-zoo, a major figure in the lore of Grand Cathay, a new faction added in Total War: Warhammer 3

Shen-zoo is the younger sister of Miao Ying, the Storm Dragon, one of the leaders of Grand Cathay. She is also known as the Dragon of Light, or Master of Light, and somewhat acts as an opposing figure to her sister.

At the start of the campaign, Shen-zoo is missing, and in order to find her, the armies of Grand Cathay seek to free the bear god of Kislev, Ursun, from the Forge of Souls. Be’lakor has imprisoned Ursun there for his own insidious aims, and so the forces of Grand Cathay must make incursions into the Chaos realms to try and free Ursun and find out the fate of Shen-zoo.

This makes Shen-zoo one of the driving forces of the narrative of the game. Some have even speculated that Shen-zoo might be an unlockable faction leader in the future or added later as DLC wherein she switches places with her sister.

Shen-zoo has at least nine siblings, including Miao Ying, Zhao Ming, Yuan Bo, Yin-Yin, Liao Dao, the Spirit Dragon, and two unknown siblings. Several of these are faction leaders within Total War: Warhammer 3 and will play a significant role within the game.
