What is an Unsullied Heart used for in V Rising

V Rising is a crafting survival game, which means that there are common materials used to craft simple gear, and there are extremely rare materials used to craft powerful gear. One of these more rare materials is known as an Unsullied Heart. In this guide, we will explain what an Unsullied Heart is used for and where to find one.

Where to find Unsullied Hearts in V Rising

Not too long into the game, you will undoubtedly want to create higher-quality weapons and armor. Luckily, as part of a mid-game mission, you will be tasked with upgrading your castle to do just that. This mission will eventually ask you to craft Greater Blood Essence. By this point, you will have already crafted normal Blood Essence, and you will know that it is what powers the Castle Heart and keeps your castle running. The Greater Blood Essence allows you to craft higher-level items and gear.

This Greater Blood Essence is exactly what Unsullied Hearts are used for. You will need four Unsullied Hearts to be able to craft Greater Blood Essence. Unfortunately, these Unsullied Hearts are an extremely rare material that only drops after defeating high-level enemies. The level at which the enemies must be to begin dropping the Unsullied Heart is unknown, but players have reported that anything over level 18 has a higher chance of dropping the material, with the chances only increasing as the enemy level increases.

Farming low-level bosses such as the Alpha Wolf seem to be the only option if looking to get four Unsullied Hearts as quickly as possible. However, players who are unable to secure the Unsullied Hearts need not worry. Once you defeat the mid-game boss Tristan the Vampire Hunter, you will receive a new crafting recipe for Greater Blood Essence that does not require Unsullied Hearts.
