Valorant is soon getting a new map known as Sunset, increasing the game’s total map count to 11. Recently teased by Valorant's official Twitter handle, its name was confirmed by Mike (a reliable Valorant leaker and miner who has a pretty strong record when it comes to predicting upcoming content). Mike has also shared some key details about the Sunset preview event, so here's all you need to know about Valorant's upcoming Sunset map.
When Does the Sunset Map Release in Valorant?
Although the exact release date has not been announced yet, we expect the Sunset map to release on August 28, 2023, as part of the Valorant Episode 7 Act 2 update. However, it has been confirmed by several sources Sunset will be playable in Swiftplay mode for one week. With patch 7.05, it will be included in the competitive and Unrated map rotation.

Interestingly, a recent teaser has led players to speculate the Sunset map is located in Los Angeles, as Cypher displays of the surrounding area match the LA highways very well.

When Will the Sunset Map be Revealed? (Valorant)
The new Sunset map will most likely be introduced with a pre-show at the Champions Los Angeles grand final on Saturday, August 26. During the preview, we may witness professional players and streamers getting their hands on the new map for the first time. If it turns out to be true, Sunset gameplay and key features of the map will be revealed on the same day.
