How to get Mods on Gorilla Tag

Gorilla Tag is a fun game on PC and on the Oculus Quest 2 that lets you and your friends turn into gorillas as you jump or swing from different things. Of course, you can make it more fun by getting mods. Gorilla Tag mods will let you do more jumping and swinging with different aesthetics and mechanics.

How to download mods for Gorilla Tag on the Quest 2

For this, you will need to complete a few first-time steps. After that, it will be very quick and straightforward. Firstly, you will need to connect your Quest 2 to a PC with a USB-C cable.

Enabling Developer Mode

Head to the Oculus Developer website and sign up to become an Oculus developer. Then create an organization that will give you the special permissions needed to download and install mods.

Downloading Quest Patcher

Quest Patcher is a utility that lets you install mods for Quest 2. You will need to download and install Quest Patcher, then run it after installation while your Quest 2 is still connected. Quest Patcher will give you a couple of prompts to access to your Quest 2. Go ahead and allow it. After you've done this, it will show you Modding Gorilla Tag. Click Patch My App to get your game ready for some mods.

Now that you've prepared your Quest 2 for mods with the help of Quest Patcher, head over to the Gorilla Tag Mods Discord to find the mods you would like to install. You can also use alternative websites to find the mods, as well. Once you've downloaded your mods, just hover the file over the Quest Patcher window, and it'll do the rest of the work. If, for some reason, it doesn't work, make sure to unzip the file by right-clicking or try a different mod. All mods don't usually work since they can be outdated or unsupported.

If you would like to install mods for Gorilla Tag on your PC, you will need to download Monke Manager. A utility that will let you install and optimize mods automatically.

Installing Gorilla Tag mods for PC

After you've downloaded Monke Manager, install it and select all the boxes for the types of mods you would like to install. Once done, Monke Manager will show you the mod directory. All you have to do, is to move your mods to the mod folder. Almost all Gorilla Tag mods work for both PC and for the Quest 2, so, you should not face any problems while downloading mods from the mod discord or from alternative websites.
