In Warcraft Rumble, you have two different sets of troops. You can have one Leader and six Minis on your roster for each game. Leaders are the heads of the family and will lead your troops. The Minis are what you think of when you think of troops.
How does Mini selection work in Warcraft Rumble?
A Mini is a hero, villain, or another famous or unnamed character from the Warcraft series that act as the troops in your roster. As soon as you have selected your six Minis and started the game, you pay gold for each one. You can send duplicates of the same troop, but the game gives you a choice of four Minis to choose from, and they are cycled when you send one out.
You will find a Mini over the word Next on the side of your selection, meaning it will be available after sending out any Mini. You can place Minis next to any tower or capture point you own, and the Minis will fight any enemy they are near. When a Mini is too far from an enemy, it will ignore them and continue to move forward.
The Minis die and must be replaced, but they are fairly expendable. Minis are like mercenaries and minions in Hearthstone, but you get to watch them fight in Warcraft Rumble. You can also customize the Minis with buffs and unique spells, but little has been explained. We will update this article when developers reveal more.
How to get Minis in Warcraft Rumble
In an interview with GameRant, the executive producer of Warcraft Rumble Vik Saraf, explained that players could earn all of the minis through in-game achievements. Then he said that you get gold coins by beating levels, which are the game's currency, and you can use the coins to purchase units in the shop.
Based on what we've seen, Minis can only be purchased. However, his first statement suggests that players can earn Minis within the game by playing through it.
