Mirror Defense works similarly to any other defense mission. However, in this node you are tasked with defending two objectives: Rania's Crystal on Mars against the Grineer, and Belric's Crystal on Venus against the Corpus. Each objective rotates every two and a half minutes, after which there will be a 30-second downtime in which players need to travel to the other objective through The Void. One full rotation of this mission is completed once you have successfully defended both the crystals once.

The important aspect of this mission is collecting the shiny floating gems that appear all around the tileset. These are known as Cetrine's Remnants. Each time you and your teammates collect 50 Remnants the Prismatic Ward will be activated, causing the objective you are currently defending to heal up, gain overshields, and rewarding you with five Rania or Belric Crystal Fragments.
