Few tales in the lore and storytelling in World of Warcraft can compare to the rise and fall of Prince Arthas and his transformation into the Lich King. While many have already played this expansion, those playing World of Warcraft Classic will get to experience it once more when Wrath of the Lich King releases.

The release date for World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King is set for sometime in 2022. No official date besides this release window is known. A new cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King was uploaded to the official World of Warcraft YouTube channel.

What is the release date of World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King?

Sometime in 2022, players can once again dethrone the Lich King, who rules from Northrend. The armies of the undead will be formidable foes for those unprepared for the new zones and dungeons added in World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King.

Players will also be able to choose the Death Knight class and see the level cap of World of Warcraft Classic raised from 55 to 80. Those looking to use the Death Knight class can do so without prerequisites.
