While exploring Xenoblade Chronicles 3 vast landscapes, you'll have to take some off-road paths. Sometimes, these routes will take you to hidden treasures, and sometimes, you need a higher ground against enemies. To reach these places, you'll need to learn how to climb purple vines. This way, your adventures will be even more exciting!
How to climb vines and walls in XC3
To be able to climb vines and walls in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, you'll need to complete the Valdi the War Medic hero quest called "A Kind Right Hand." This quest is part of the main story in Chapter 3. To achieve this, you'll need to:
- Defeat three Mystery Keves units near Elsie's Sprout.
- Collect three Levnis parts: Auxiliary CPU, Endoskeleton, and Levnis Self-Charger.
- Go to Colony 30.
- Defeat the Incomplete Siege-Lev boss.
How to find places to climb in XC3
After you do all this, you'll unlock a new XC3 class, and Valdi will show you how to climb purple vines and walls. Even when you get the Wall Climbing skill, you wouldn't be able to climb everywhere you want, even if you increase your jump height. You'll have to find purple vines on a map to reach higher platforms. You'll see grappling hook icons that show places where you can climb. Explore all these locations, as many of them will lead you to secret areas.
Another important use of climbing is for escaping enemies. Luckily, they can't climb, so you can evade some challenging encounters by simply climbing on walls. That can be a real lifesaver on many occasions. This skill is just one of many that will help you survive while adventuring throughout Aionios.
