Are there mounts in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

You can't walk everywhere.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the follow-up to the Nintendo Switch hit, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It features a similarly massive open world to explore, giving players ample opportunity to discover new locations. With such a large world to traverse, you may be wondering if there are mounts in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Can you ride mounts in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

The answer is yes—there are rideable mounts in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. There looks to be a variety of mounts, including horses and different mechanical mounts. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild had numerous types of mounts, so it is safe to say that Tears of the Kingdom will give Link various options.

Are there flying mounts in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?

With Tears of the Kingdom including a sky kingdom above Hyrule, Nintendo has added flying mounts. Many players used clever tricks to get flying vehicles in Breath of the Wild, but now it is much easier. We see flying a vehicle that looks like a hot air balloon and a hoverboard-looking vehicle.

We did see a new flying enemy that can pick up and carry Bokoblins, but it is unclear if Link can capture or force these creatures to fly him. It would be an interesting mechanic, especially with the Paraglider, but there is no confirmation on whether Link can pilot this flying enemy.
