Virtual reality has seen a surge in popularity in the past few years. This is in part to more developers creating games for VR and better hardware for the genre. One of the leaders in VR is Sony with the PlayStation VR. Those excited for the PlayStation VR2 may be wondering when it will release.

Unfortunately, there is no release date for the PSVR2 currently. That being said, Sony has made the official website for the PlayStation VR2 live, indicating new information is being revealed soon. Speculation places the PlayStation VR2 releasing in late 2022 or possibly 2023, but this is not a guarantee these dates are correct.

How much will the PlayStation VR2 cost?

We also do not know how much the PlayStation VR2 will cost. The original PlayStation VR cost $499 as part of a bundle. It is currently priced starting at $200 for some bundles. You could use this information to guess the price of the PlayStation VR2, but one has to consider the next-gen tag.

Having improved hardware and specs could let Sony increase the price to reflect this. Unfortunately, not enough is known to develop a concrete price or release date. Sony will likely price the PlayStation VR2 somewhere between the current price and its prequel's launch price, but this is not guaranteed.

Sony has created numerous great games for the PlayStation VR and will likely do the same for the PlayStation VR2. Fans are eagerly awaiting any information, and we will update this guide when new information is available.
