Best Nature for Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a Pokémon's Nature will have an effect on two of its stats. One will be raised by 10%, while another will be lowered by 10%. While 10% may not seem like a lot of change, this can really affect how a Pokémon performs in battle. A Pokémon's Nature can be the thing that makes it stronger or weaker than other Pokémon, even of its own species. When choosing which Nature is best for a Pokémon, ideally a Pokémon's strongest stat will be increased and its lowest stat will be decreased. Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable are one of the special cases because they do not all share the best stat. Cleffa and Clefairy's best stat is special defense, meaning the best Nature will raise that stat and increase their effectiveness in battle. Once fully evolved into Clefable, the Pokémon's best stat changes to special attack. It is important for players to decide which evolution of the Pokémon they are looking to strengthen before choosing a Nature.

How to choose the best Nature

A great Nature choice for Cleffa and Clefairy is Sassy as this Nature will raise their special defense stat and lower speed, which doesn't help them very much in battle. For Clefable, Quiet is a great option as it will increase the Pokémon's special attack stat and make special attacks deal increased damage. This is especially good for Clefable with access to great special moves like Moonblast, Psychic, and Draining Kiss.

These Natures will best compliment the Pokémon's stats, but that does not necessarily mean they are the best choices. Which Nature is best will be decided by how players use Pokémon most frequently in battle. Natures boost a stat and lower another, so players should choose a Nature that works best with their playstyle.
