Best Nature for Shieldon and Bastiodon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Natures play an important role in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. While players don't have to pay attention to a Pokémon's Nature, they affect the Pokémon's performance in battle. The Nature will raise one of the Pokémon's stats by 10% and lower another one by 10%, making a big difference when facing off against opponents. You can find a Pokémon's Nature by visiting its summary screen in-game.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Shieldon and Bastiodon are Rock and Steel-type Pokémon with a high defense stat. Their massive defense capabilities allow them to outlast many opponents in battle. The best Natures will increase this defense stat even further and lower less important stats.

How to choose the best Nature

For Shieldon and Bastiodon, Relaxed and Impish are great choices for their Natures. Both will raise the defense stat while lowering stats that these Pokémon don't utilize much in battle. Relaxed will increase defense at the cost of speed and Impish will raise defense while decreasing special attack. If players choose Impish Nature, they should be sure to avoid special attacks as those will be lowered with this Nature.

Players will ultimately be able to decide which Nature is best for their Pokémon as it really comes down to playstyle and how the Pokémon are most frequently used in battle. If players rely heavily on a specific stat, then they should find a Nature that boosts that stat and lowers another, less important, stat.
