Horizon Forbidden West allows players to upgrade their equipment and "pouches." You can do this at workbenches scattered around the game's massive open-world map. The pouch upgrades will garner a range of effects mostly centered around the carrying capacity for the targeted item.

Hunter Arrow Quiver upgrades will allow players to carry more arrows at a time for their Hunter bows. This can be an invaluable upgrade, especially when 20 arrows go by fast in a fight, especially during the late game.

What ingredients are needed to upgrade the Hunter Arrow Quiver?

There are a total of 4 Hunter Arrow Quiver upgrades. The items needed for each upgrade are listed below:

  • Upgrade 1 - 25 Metal Shards, 2 Racoon Hide
  • Upgrade 2 - 50 Metal Shards, 1 Rabbit Hide, 1 Peccary Bone
  • Upgrade 3 - 100 Metal Shards, 1 Salmon Bone, 3 Bighorn Sheep Hide
  • Upgrade 4 - 200 Metal Shards, 1 Iridescent Lobster Shell, 1 Pelican Wishbone, 2 Peccary Hide

These items can be obtained by killing animals around the map and looting their bodies. Some items are more difficult than others, but animals seem to have a much higher chance of dropping rare items than machines, so it shouldn't take too long to upgrade this pouch.
