Genshin Impact Divine Ingenuity Event Guide

Divine Ingenuity is Genshin Impact's first Custom Domain-making event. It runs from Mar. 2, 2022, to Mar. 21, 2022, and is open to all players Adventure Rank 28 and above who have completed the Liyue Archon Quest Chapter I: Act III - A New Star Approaches.

Initiating the Event

All eligible players will automatically receive the Event Quest called Divine Ingenuity, which starts with Katheryne in Liyue. After speaking with her, follow the quest marker to the west of Tianqiu Valley and speak with Honglang, who will prompt you to enter a blank Domain.

He'll ask you to place some Thunder Spheres to reach a coin and then complete the first Preset course, which requires you to collect 40 coins. This will allow you to unlock Custom Domains.

Preset Domains

Apart from the first, which is accessible from the first day, the rest of the Preset Domains will unlock throughout the event period. Make sure to clear them by entering the Domain beside Honglang, marked by the Divine Ingenuity icon in the World Map.

Preset Domains are essentially obstacle courses that feature various mechanisms commonly found in Domains and Time Trial Challenges. Completing these will merit you a ton of rewards, including 350 Primogems.

How to Enter Custom Domains

You can try completing Custom Domains made by other players by clicking on the Custom Domains button on the bottom right of the event menu. You can choose from a random selection or input the Domain ID of specific courses you want to run through.

Since Custom Domains are player-made, they're not always the most optimized for playability and can be a bit confusing to play through. But if you enjoyed a particular Domain, make sure to hit the like button to support it.

You can also save a Domain by clicking on it, then clicking on the star button under Domain Overview. All Domains you saved will be placed on the third tab of the Custom Domains page, allowing you to find them easily later on.

How to Create Custom Domains

To create a Custom Domain, click on the Custom Domains button on the bottom right of the event menu and head to the second tab of the page. Click on Design New Domain and select your layout of choice. After, you'll be prompted to configure your Domain.

You can make use of a wide array of obstacles, platforms, traps, and even provide players buffs to create an enjoyable Domain. Keep in mind that Domains must contain a Critical Object, which is the Destination under the Basic Items tab, in order to be playable. Once you're done editing the Domain to your liking, click Save then exit the edit menu.

Head back to the Design tab and click on the Domain you just created to either make edits or officially publish it. You can also click Start to try playing through the Domain yourself to test it out. Make sure to copy your Domain ID and share it with friends and on social media!

Rewards

Click on the Event Rewards button on the bottom left of the event page to claim rewards for Preset Domains. Don't forget to switch to the second tab to claim rewards for making a Custom Domain and participating in others' creations too!
