How to avoid SMS protection in Overwatch 2

The only way to avoid the phone number requirement is to have owned and played the first Overwatch. So if you're new to the game and Battle.net platform, you'll have to register a postpaid number. The good news is that that number doesn't have to be in your name, which at least gives you some options. Another option is to be patient and wait for Blizzard to remove the phone number requirement in Overwatch 2 altogether.
