What is the Life Tragedies Mod in The Sims 4?

The Life Tragedies Mod is one of the multiple mods that you can use in The Sims 4, provided by the popular modder, Sacrificial Mods. It doesn't require too much effort to download the Life Tragedies Mod. Simply download the file, unzip it, and move it to the Mods folder on your PC for The Sims 4.

Once it is downloaded, you can have a whole host of tragic scenarios randomly generated into your gameplay. If you're feeling especially devious, you can have your own Sims participate in robberies, murders, kidnappings, or serial killings. Just be careful not to get killed in retaliation or arrested!

All Life Tragedies for Sims in The Sims 4

There are several different tragedies that can possibly befall your Sim in The Sims 4 when you're using the Life Tragedies mod. We've broken down all of the tragedies included in the pack, including details about how these terrible occurrences play out.

TragedyDescription
Armed RobberyThere is a small chance that a burglar who is armed will break into your home. They can shoot and kill Sims in your home, including children and toddlers. If you desire, you can have your Sim be a burglar. Victim Sims can call the police or try to fight off the burglar.
BullyingBullies can target your Sims, even breaking into their homes to further torment them. You can challenge a bully to a fight, and success will be determined by your Sim's fitness skill level. If you want, your Sim can also target and bully others.
Car AccidentsThere is a small chance that your Sims will get hit by a car and die when near a road. From what we gather, getting hit by a car is 100% fatal with the mod.
Fatal IllnessYour Sims can get a nondescript fatal illness that has a small chance of survival. If you have the Get to Work pack, you can try surgery with 20% of recovery. With no surgery, the Sim will die slowly.
KidnappingKidnap Sims or have your Sim kidnapped. The following actions can also occur:
- Brain Washing
- Drugging
- Ransom
- Torment
(Your Sim cannot be kidnapped if they are the only human Sim in the household)
MurderThere are multiple murder types.
- Burn with flames
- Execution with gun
- Smash head
- Stabbing (multiple weapons & positions)
- Strangulation
- Suffocate with diaper
- Poisoned apple
Natural DisastersTo be released in a future update. Earthquakes, floods, plagues, wildfires, etc.
Serial KillerFive random serial killers will roam throughout the world, and there is a 1% chance a killer will target someone in your neighborhood. You can also choose to be one yourself, killing in six different ways. Serial killers can be arrested by police.
