Over eleven mainline expansions were released for The Sims 3, with the first released on November 17, 2009, and the last on October 22, 2013. Each expansion adds significant content to the game that varies in theme. Usually, each Sims 3 expansion adds at least one job or several career options. Other features include new skills, items, locations, and even furniture. All Sims 3 expansions cost the same price of $19.99, which is carried on with future Sims 4 expansions.
