Pixel Piece to rerelease after months of development, and it seems legit this time

Since the original closure announcement in February 2023, Pixel Piece developers have released numerous statements regarding its status and expected release date. In May 2023, it was promised that the experience would make its updated debut before Memorial Day, and that said developers were doing everything they could to meet that deadline. As many players expected, however, the promise fell through, and the experience remained closed. Now, in June 2023, another release date has been announced, and developers seem hopeful that it's finally time for Pixel Piece's finale.

According to a statement posted in the official Pixel Piece Discord server on the day of the original closure, the experience was privated so that developers could "rework a few things and fix all the current problems [and] bug issues that have plagued [the] game." In the same statement, it was also noted that "testers will be working diligently to test for all bugs and ensure that the game will provide a smooth and bug-free experience upon its reopening," and that their "top priority is to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy a smooth and bug-free gaming experience."

When Pixel Piece rereleases on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 4:30pm CT, developers (and most specifically the experience's owner, jandel) want to make sure that players are aware that the experience will be very similar to what they're already used to—there isn't a major update coming alongside this release, it's simply a public reopening to test and track the success of the bugs and issues the team has been attempting to fix over the past four months.

If everything goes to plan, the first actual content update will release on the following Friday (June 23, 2023), at which point players will begin to see the new changes the developers have been slowly implementing into the experience. With this update is a plan to add in new fruit, quests, clue scrolls, and weapons, along with other small tweaks and fixes that will be carried over in response to the previous week's reactions.
